The latest Release 1/2025 brings significant improvements to the Niagara Framework®! The software update provides support for the latest versions of the Niagara Framework in two versions:

  • 4.14.0
  • 4.10.9

This makes both controllers fully compatible with the Long-Term Support (LTS) version 4.10.9 and the latest supported version, 4.14.0.
The update is available using iC Workbench directly or by expanding third-party Niagara Workbenches using the iC Niagara Expansion Pack.

Whats new in Niagara 4.14?

A number of features are included in the iC Niagara 4.14 release scope. Here is a quick glance:

  • New HTML5 Web Views – 99% of Niagara views now available through the browser(Drivers, Networks, and Services – including Provisioning)
  • BACnet Revision updated to 16th
  • Two-factor authentication (GAuth) support
  • Automated certificate signing with new signing service
  • MAC36 support for Niagara Cloud
  • Support for the nE2 Link extension
  • Support for iC SmartView Niagara service

Programming RAC18-IP using Niagara Workbench.

Our Room Application Controllers have become Niagara-enabled thanks to the new Niagara extension called nE2 Link (nano EDGE ENGINE link for the Niagara Framework). This drag-and-drop extension for BACnet and Modbus drivers enables seamless commissioning, programming, and control of RAC18-IP directly in Niagara Workbench.

iC Niagara Cloud Suite Support for MAC36 controllers.

iSMA CONTROLLI has become the first company to introduce Niagara Cloud to its Niagara controllers! This integration combines the powerful performance of the MAC36NL and MAC36PRO controllers at the edge with the advanced tools and utilities provided by Niagara Cloud Suite.

 With Niagara Remote, Niagara stations can be securely accessed and managed from anywhere. Niagara Recover provides critical data backup and protection in the cloud. Additional data services further enhance flexibility and performance for digital data twins and third-party cloud integration.

iC SmartView Config Service for Niagara.

Along with the update, iC Niagara 4.14 includes the recently announced iC SmartView Niagara service for the remote management of iSMA CONTROLLI HMI Panels directly in Niagara.
